The Advance Lifts VLPS-10 is a 10,000 lb capacity stationary vertical platform dock lift engineered for high-throughput distribution centers, food and beverage facilities, and any operation that moves heavy pallet loads across height differences every day. Unlike portable units, the VLPS-10 is anchor-mounted to the dock apron — it doesn't move, doesn't tip, and handles full electric forklift loads without compromise. The 60" × 84" platform accommodates two standard GMA pallets side by side or a single oversized industrial pallet. Elevation range is 0" to 72", covering grade-level receiving through full dock height — critical for operations that receive from both semis (dock-height, ~48") and smaller delivery trucks (lower than dock height). The 208/230V three-phase electric-hydraulic power unit delivers consistent performance across multi-shift operation. Hydraulic velocity fuse drop protection and perimeter toe guards meet ANSI B56.16 safety standards. Optional dock bumpers and pit mounting hardware available. Automatic platform leveling maintains platform height against load deflection — no manual adjustment required. Advance Lifts builds exclusively in Aurora, IL — lead times are predictable and parts are stocked domestically.

How does this compare?

10,000 lb capacity is the sweet spot for distribution and manufacturing dock lifts — it handles full electric sit-down forklift loads (including the machine weight of 7,500–8,500 lbs plus a loaded pallet) safely. The 60×84 platform is the minimum size for two-pallet handling; if your operation regularly moves two pallets simultaneously, this is the correct size. Step up to the 15,000 lb or 20,000 lb models if you're running LP gas forklifts (heavier) or moving oversized loads. Advance Lifts is one of the few remaining dock lift manufacturers that builds entirely in the US — parts availability and lead times are meaningfully better than offshore-sourced alternatives.
