The Rite-Hite MDL-20 is a 20,000 lb capacity heavy-duty dock lift built for manufacturing plants, steel service centers, automotive component facilities, and any operation that moves loads that would overwhelm a standard dock leveler or 10,000 lb dock lift. A fully loaded LP gas forklift (machine weight 9,000–12,000 lbs) plus a 3,500 lb pallet routinely hits 13,000–15,000 lbs of combined platform load — the MDL-20 handles this with capacity to spare. The 84" × 96" platform accommodates an LP gas counterbalance forklift with a loaded pallet aboard — the operator drives on, raises to truck height, and drives directly onto the trailer floor without transferring the load. This "drive-on" capability eliminates the dangerous load-transfer step that causes injuries at under-equipped docks. The dual-cylinder hydraulic system provides equal-load distribution across the platform — no platform twist or cantilever deflection under eccentric loads.
