The CommercialLift 2-Post 40,000 lb handles medium-duty and heavy-duty commercial vehicles from Class 4 box trucks to Class 7 semi-trailers — the range that most shops turn away because their lift won’t handle it. The overhead-beam design uses 10” I-beam columns with reinforced floor anchors rated for full-rated dynamic loads. Symmetric arm configuration with 8”-diameter arm saddles reaches under the widest commercial frames. The 440V 3-phase power unit raises 40,000 lbs to 72” in 60 seconds. Comes with 6 sets of adapter pads for different frame profiles. Requires 14’ ceiling clearance. Factory installation and commissioning included in price.

Commercial heavy-truck lifts use high-capacity hydraulic cylinders operating at low pressure to safely raise vehicles from 15,000 lbs to 60,000 lbs. Controls are industrial-grade and designed for all-day shop use.

High-Capacity Hydraulics

Dual or quad hydraulic cylinders with heavy stainless steel lifting chains provide smooth, synchronized lift. Each cylinder is oversized for its rating — running at well below burst pressure for decades of service life.

Industrial Control Panel

A mounted control box with clearly labeled raise, lower, and emergency-stop buttons operates the lift. The E-stop cuts power immediately and holds the lift at current height. Most models include a remote pendant.

Frame-Cradle Adapters

Heavy-duty frame cradle pads grip the vehicle's frame rails instead of pinch welds. Position the cradles under the main frame members and tighten the locking collars before lifting. Prevents the vehicle from shifting at height.

Multi-Level Locks

Mechanical lock ladders on each column accept safety pawls at every 6" of travel. All locks engage simultaneously as the lift rises. Use the pneumatic or electric lock release before lowering.

Note: Concrete requirements: commercial lifts of this capacity require a minimum 4" reinforced concrete slab (6" for 40,000+ lb models). Anchor bolts must be set per the installation manual before first use.

⚙️ Six-Inch Lock Increments

Heavy-duty mechanical lock pawls engage every 6" of travel on each column. A single-button pneumatic release simultaneously retracts all four (or more) pawls for lowering — ensuring you can't accidentally lower one column while others are locked.

🔗 Frame Cradle Grip Pads

Frame cradle adapters physically grip the vehicle's frame rail from below and both sides. Even if the vehicle shifted laterally, the cradle prevents it from moving off the lift pad.

🚨 Emergency Stop

A large guarded E-stop on the column and on the remote pendant cuts all power immediately. The lift holds at the last locked position. The E-stop circuit is hardwired and not software-controlled.

📊 Overload Monitoring

Hydraulic pressure monitoring on each cylinder detects overload conditions per column. If one column is being asked to carry more than its share, the system halts and displays a fault — preventing column and cable damage.

How does this compare?

This is the entry point for serious commercial fleet service. If you service box trucks, step vans, straight trucks, or medium-duty semis, this is the lift. The 3-phase power requirement is the gating factor — most shops already have 3-phase if they’re doing commercial work. Factory installation means it’s certified and in compliance on day one.
