Everything you need to make your decision
The Genie IWP-25S is a heavy-duty push-around aerial work platform designed for single-operator indoor maintenance at heights up to 25 feet. The 300 lb capacity handles an operator with a full tool bag and light materials. The IWP-25S features Genie's industrial-grade multi-section aluminum mast with positive locking at every foot of height — not just at preset positions. This continuous-position locking means you can stop at exactly the right height for each task without compromise. The wider 27" × 30" platform gives more foot room than base models. Outrigger footprint extends to 66" × 66" for stability at full height. AC electric lift motor uses standard 110V — plug into any facility outlet. Powder-coated aluminum construction resists corrosion in food processing, pharmaceutical, and wet environments. Unit weight: 680 lbs — fits on most standard freight elevators.

⚙️ Full-Cage Platform with D-Ring Anchor

Full-perimeter cage with self-closing positive-latch gate meets OSHA 1910.29 and ANSI/SAIA A92.3 fall protection requirements. Operators must wear a full-body harness with a lanyard connected to the D-ring fall arrest anchor at all times while elevated — the anchor is rated for the full OSHA 5,000 lb fall arrest load.

🔒 Tilt / Slope Interlock

An electronic inclinometer prevents mast extension on slopes beyond the rated threshold. If the machine moves onto an unlevel surface while elevated, all motion halts immediately. On push-around units, the interlock also prevents outrigger-free ascent — the machine cannot be "tilted up" by lifting a foot.

📐 Mechanical Outrigger Interlock

All four outrigger feet must confirm floor contact before the mast will ascend above the low-profile travel position. This interlock is implemented in the hydraulic circuit on most models — not software — making it physically impossible to bypass without mechanical modification.

🛡️ Emergency Descent System

A gravity-fed or mechanical emergency descent system lowers the mast to ground level without electrical power. The emergency descent valve is accessible from outside the cage and clearly labeled. All personnel lift operators must know the location and operation of the emergency descent before use.

How does this compare?

The IWP-25S is the professional upgrade from the AWP series — bigger cage, more capacity, better outrigger stability, and continuous-position locking for precise height setting. If you're running 10+ hours of facility maintenance per day, the IWP's heavier construction pays off in durability. For facilities that need to move the lift between floors, the 680-lb weight is light enough for most standard freight elevators (1,000 lb minimum). Need self-propelled repositioning at height?
